PCA Names Two from Lehigh for Promotion Efforts
The Portland Cement Association Promotion Progress Awards acknowledge outstanding efforts in promoting cement and concrete products. Lehigh Cement Company employees Ray Pisaneschi and Shawn McMillan were among just eight individuals from the U.S. and Canada who were honored this year for their promotional work.
Ray Pisaneschi is Manager- Marketing & Technical Services for Lehigh Cement Company - White Cement Division. Ray tirelessly seeks new markets, mentors practitioners, and promotes the products that utilize white cement, in North America and abroad. He also regularly supplies information and contacts for technical articles in respected industry publications. Ray has been especially active in championing specification of white cement to Departments of Transportation for major highway projects.
Shawn McMillan is Regional Manager- Manitoba for Lehigh Inland Cement Limited, Inland Aggregates Limited and Inland Pipe Limited. A new category of award was announced by PCA this year-sustainable development. Shawn was singled out from Canada for his work as head of the Western Canada Agriculture Promotion Committee, which developed an Integrated Waste Management Solution to promote sustainable development in agricultural communities. Expanding this key market sector could significantly increase the use of cement and concrete for construction of farm structures, such as barns and waste containment tanks.
